Chic in ChikanKari
Happy Sunday to you all
It’s me Shrizan Shrinate from the blog “SHRIZAN” . So, this is my first ever blog post and I want to start it with the place I belong which is very close to my heart – Lucknow. You might have heard that it’s famous for traditional embroidery style of chikankari dress that was initially introduced by Noor Jahan, the wife of Mughal emperor Jahangir (as mentioned in many stories).
Chikankari is Lucknow’s best known hand embroidery. From India to Pakistan, Madhubala to Alia Bhatt and Princess Diana to Judi Dench, every one styled it at best,in their own different ways.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of this native Chikankari dress work. And thought it would be awesome to upload my first post on chikankari, like how can we wear, what types of dresses and design is best for this work.
For this look, I wanted the modern chic style in it. Mostly people wear Chikankari dress like this in typical way like in Kurti, Saari, Anarkali, Kurta Pajama etc. So, I want to show you guys something that we can wear it in a chicy way.
These days cropped dresses are is in trend. As I wanted this look to be super comfy ,I wore this embroidered white cotton crop top with high waisted khadi pant. This khadi pant gives perfect chic look to the outfit. For the accessories I paired it with steel choker and silver ring. And I’m good to go with casual but not so casual look.
Hope you guys like my experiment with this chikankari dress.
Keep checking out for more updates.
